The Nanny

The nanny wasn’t happy
Had changed another nappy
Feeling such a ninny
‘What a life!’ wailed Winnie

Bedlam in the nursery
The sacred brats were holy
Kid gloves for the unruly
Who treated her so cruelly

Viewed as entertainment
The butt of their resentment
Now getting the treatment
From a contract of commitment

So this was minding a child
More like cornering the wild
She was getting too old
To rule the uncontrolled
