Taxman

Whatever the price, it might be right
But I always need a receipt
Paying my tax is my plight
The Inspector won’t let me cheat
His letters are designed to irritate
And his threats always make me shiver
A robber I’d like to decapitate
Or make him stand and deliver
My money is none of his business
He never gives me a rebate
For my sins there’s no forgiveness
Not from a reprobate
