“The Bard”

« The Bard »

« I’ve got something to tell you »
Said the butcher’s son
« But I’ll say it on stage »
As an actor would have done

« As you like it, that’s how you’ll get it
« Because I’m in the lead
« Oh, the plays ? No, they’re not mine
« But they make a good read

« And they are when I read them
« I’ve got passion, you see
« Just go ask my women
« Oh yes, they write them for me !

Glad you enjoyed it. Seriously, Ann Whateley, Shakespeare’s former lover, is a definite contender to have written his plays. It certainly wasn’t him.
